Travel - Arguably the most attractive part of taking up winter sports such as snowboarding is the scope for travel. Snow falls in so many countries and most of them cater to the winter sports enthusiast. Snowboarding is a great way to get your kids off the sofa and out into the world, teaching them a new way both to keep fit and to meet new people. There are many resorts that cater to families offering instructors for every level of ability too. Also, the gorgeous log cabins and beautiful scenery can be inspiring for any child or teenager, encouraging them to put down the iPad and pick up a snowboard!
