Workouts That Make You Grow Taller: Does It Actually Work?

Would you like to grow a few inches taller naturally? Unless you're 6' 6", anyone would love to gain a couple of inches to their height. Then it is time to involve yourself in some exercises to grow taller. These exercises are not some mystical yoga magic but exercises based on sound logical and scientific techniques.

Do exercises to grow taller really work?

Yes they do! Amazing, suspicious, and borderline ludicrous to believe that somebody past adolescence can grow taller.

1) Stretching

Stretching is among the most fundamental physical exercises to grow taller. This method may look like common sense and it is. Not only does stretching minimize stiff joints and tight muscles, it will help you improve your physical performance, posture and help you get taller. Stretches consist of: bow down stretching, stretching while standing, wall-assisted stretches, toe touches, standing twists, car stretch, cobra stretch, the bridge, the table, super stretch, and more.

2) Hanging

Hanging will help you grow taller by stretching out your spine and joints. Because your spinal column has been expanded while asleep, when you wake up in the morning you are always a little taller compared to late in the afternoon. As you function throughout the day, gravitational force compresses it back down. Hanging will help maintain the extended state of the spinal column to ensure that it compresses less as the day goes by.

There are 2 main ways to take on hanging. The simplest and most efficient method is to use a chin up bar and dead hang from it. Preferably, you'd want to do 10 ~ 15 sets of 15 ~ 20 seconds each for at least 30 minutes a week. Twisting back and forth and side leg raises will also help, but stay away from swinging your body.

The second way is to buy an inversion table, strap your ankles down, and hang upside down. This is a lot more effective than the chin up bar but will be much more troublesome.

3) Yoga

Because it helps with position and will make you stand up straighter, yoga is a fantastic way to instantly increase height. The stretches and poses inherent in yoga are also a few of the key techniques to growing taller. Several of the more important ones are: mountain poses, downward facing dog, simple supported back-bends, and simple reclining twists.

According to yoga teachers, if you do yoga 2 to 3 times a week for a year, you will increase up to an inch in height.

4) Swimming and various other sports

Ever notice the way athletes are just taller than non-athletes? This could be due to the fact that taller people gravitate towards and succeed at certain sporting activities. But it is also true that playing certain sports from when you are young will help you grow taller compared to if you did not play sports. That is since sports incorporate all the stretching, exercises, and nutrition required for optimum development.

Out of all the sports, swimming is among the most effective to become taller. This is due to the fact that water negates the gravity compression of the spinal column and also because having your head below your heart sends better blood circulation to the thyroid glands which helps in the production of growth hormones. Particularly, the breast stroke motion stretches the body in a perfect way to gain height. This is because you kick with your legs and stretch out with your arms at the same time in opposite directions.

Physical exercise not only makes you fitter, stronger, and stretches your muscular tissues and skeletal system, but it even stimulates your pituitary glands to generate more HGH. It is commonly recognized that exercise stimulates the natural production of HGH but nobody knows why. Just know that it is true and let's go do some yoga!
