This stands for Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. You might wonder what the different steps are to do this advance cardiovascular life support. The first thing you need to is check if the patient is still alive.

First, get the patient in a comfortable position. You should try and get the patient this sit in a half sitting position. The patient should never lie down as this could compromise the breathing of the patient. Try and keep the neck, shoulders, head and knees of the patient supported.

Four very important signs that you should look for is if the patient has profuse sweating, if the pulse if the patient varies, first fast and then slows down, if the patient has blueness around the lips and lastly if the color of the patients skin is ashen. You should always be ready to give rescue breaths if the patient loses consciousness and stops breathing. You should also not give the patient any fluids to take in.

There are four main steps that should be taken to ensure that the patient gets to a hospital for treatment by a qualified doctor or even cardiologist. First of all, you need to calm the patient down and you need to get the patient into a comfortable position. The patient should not lie down.

All of these sign is signs that the patients can be suffering from a heart attack. You should keep an eye on the patient so that the patient stays conscious. If the patient loses consciousness, you should give the patient rescue breaths and some chest compressions to ensure that the oxygen keeps flowing to the brain.

Always be prepared for the worst-case scenario without showing your concern to the patient. Make sure that your patient is comfortable by having the head, shoulders and knees supported. You can do this by using pillow. Never let the patient lie down.

You should inform the doctor as well that you suspect that the patient had a heart attack. Once the doctor and the emergency service have been contacted, you need to give the patient medication. If the patient is still conscious then you should give him or her one aspirin tablet. Keep monitoring your patient until the emergency services arrive.
