Lose the Age Spots Fast

As we age, all of us seem to long for our more youthful clear skin, and are upset about age spots, and the lines and wrinkles that inevitably form. When we start to notice these imperfections, for a lot of us, it begins to affect our self esteem and confidence. When this becomes a major concern, a skin peel is a possible answer to this, and for some, it is the best option.

A remedy that has a significant effect in order to revive a more youthful skin appearance is a chemical skin peel. Chemical peels will help you reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on your skin. The outermost part of your skin sometimes has an accumulation of dead skin cells, and a skin peel will remove these, reducing wrinkles and making it appear brighter.

Freckles, age spots, and liver spots are reduced dramatically after a skin peel, this is a time tested process. Chemical peels will result in skin that is more smooth and bright, and will have a more youthful appearance. For those who have had minor or major issues with acne, a chemical peel; they can reduce the inflammation and pimples in acne sufferers.

One of the advantages of the chemical peel over beauty products is that it can be done in one sitting or in a few sessions instead of waiting for results after weeks or months product applications. Also the procedures aren't as drastic, invasive and permanent as some plastic surgery techniques. Chemical peels are much more than subtle adjustments to skin moisture levels or promises to strengthen collagen like some over the counter creams offer.

A peel does what it sounds like; it actually removes layers of skin to expose the underlying cells and causes new cells to grow. As newer skin grows to replace the top layers, lines and blemishes will become more difficult to see underneath the fresh skin.

Chemical peels are cosmetic procedures that require no pain medication since it is not painful at any stage of the process. It is usually recommended that a course of six peels is given one or two weeks apart, to get the best results from superficial chemical peels. A peel has very minimal risk when it is more superficial. For a few days after a skin peel, the side effects are still noticeable. Although rare, hyperpigmentation has been known to be a side effect, and skin in some cases will appear to have a colour change. The capacity for skin to produce pigment is sometimes affected after a deeper skin peel.

In the week prior to a skin peel of any depth it's usually recommended that patients clean the skin regularly to reduce chance of infection and the use of moisturizer is recommended to promote even results and fast healing. Daily sunscreen usage is something that a doctor will typically suggest in many cases, leading up to the peel.
