The Very Worst Food items Ever!

By Vanessa Summer

There are lots of foods available that, though delightful, are incredibly bad for you. While we can identify some of these foods on sight--most of the food you'll order at a fast food restaurant, for example, is quite enjoyable to eat but will do terrible things to your body and is made of far too many calories to even be considered healthy. But think about those foods that look like they should be totally fine to eat? What about some of those food items that you give to your kids? In this article we'll be looking at a number of the absolute worst type of foods that you could ever feed to yourself or other people in your family.

Macaroni and cheese, believe it or not, is among the worst things that one could order. While the make at home on your own variant from Kraft or Annie's is fairly benign, the mac and cheese you get at a cafe usually is not. The Kids Mac and Cheese supper that you order in California Pizza Kitchen, to utilize one example, is incredibly bad! This one particular plate includes over a thousand calories, over sixteen hundred milligrams of sodium and nearly forty grams of saturated fat! This seriously isn't even remotely healthy.

How often have you bought one of those frozen pot pies from your grocery store? On the surface these appear to be fine, healthy last minute dinners or lunches but the fact is that most of them are loaded with extra calories. The pot pies coming from Stouffer's, for instance, usually contain more than eleven hundred calories, more than sixty grams of fat and almost eighteen hundred milligrams of sodium. If you are attempting to lose fat you could wind up eating all of your daily calories with just this one food item!

You are most likely under the sense that if you are going to have something from a sandwich shop, the vegetarian sandwich is your healthiest option, right? The genuine truth is that these kinds of sandwiches are frequently dressed with dressings and other condiments which contribute to making them just as unhealthy as a meat-based sandwich. When you buy a vegetarian sandwich from Blimpies (as an example), you are purchasing nearly twelve hundred calories, sixty grams of fat and more than thirty five hundred milligrams of sodium. How could that ever possibly be considered healthy?

Surely a salad, of all things, has to be healthy. This is common idea in any case. If we want something that is healthy and speedy, most of the time we look for a salad to fill us up with food that is healthy for us. You will likely be stunned to read, then, that there are some salads that are quite unhealthy. The Santa Fe chopped salad out of TGI Fridays, for instance, weighs in at eighteen hundred calories. This is usually because of the fact that it is the width of a big dinner plate but, seriously: do you want all of your daily calorie intake to come from a single dinner salad?

Sadly, the simple truth is that the food we acquire from restaurants or when we are in a rush is just not going to be as wholesome as the food that we cook for ourselves at home. Cooking in your own home could feel boring or annoying but if you are trying to lose weight and get healthy, this is the best thing that you can do for yourself.
